Selection Commission of the IX International Documentary Film Festival "Flahertiana" has determined the list of the films included into international competition of the festival "Flahertiana-2009":

We are very grateful to you for all films sent to our Selection Commission. We’ve received unprecedented number of entries this year. Unfortunately, competition program cannot include all the films that arouse interest of selection commission members.

The Selection Commission of the IDFF Flahertiana-2009

 

Viktoria Belopolskaya

A member of “Nika” film academy, of the Film makers’ Union of Russian Federation and the international federation of film critics (FIPRESCI). She graduated from journalism department of Moscow State University. She is Editor-in-Chief of “Kultura” TV channel. She makes pre-selection of the films created in Russia & former USSR for the International Documentary Festival Amsterdam (IDFA) and  she is Russian and Soviet cinema advisor of the Film Society of Lincoln Center (New York, USA).

Laureate of  “Green Apple-Golden Leaf”, nomination “The Best Film Critic”.

  

 

Marina Drozdova

Art Consultant of the producing center “Souz-Kino-Jurnal”, Editor-in-Chief of the Documentary screening studio of “Kultura” TV channel, film director and scriptwriter of fiction and documentary film.

Laureate of  “Green Apple-Golden Leaf”, nomination “The Best Film Critic”.

 

 

 Boris Karadzhev

 Boris Karadzhev was born in Perm, graduated from Perm State University (1971) and VGIK (1982). He has been a leader of VGIK documentary film directing workshop since 2002.

 

As director and script writer he was involved into creation of more than 50 documentary films and TV films including a number of international projects in Finland, the Netherlands, Japan, UK, etc.
